The Surf Snowdonia wavegarden in Wales has been forced to close after a mechanical fault was discovered. The repairs are predicted to only take a few days but could possibly run until the end of the month according to sources.
The official statement reads
“The closure is due to a mechanical fault which became apparent on Wednesday morning. In order to carry out the necessary repairs engineers need to drain the lagoon completely. The repair process will take several days and Surf Snowdonia will update their customers with more information as the situation becomes clearer.
“All customers who have sessions booked on Surf Snowdonia’s surf lagoon will be contacted individually and offered a full refund or a credit on their Surf Snowdonia account, whichever they would prefer.”
The wavegarden officially opened at the start of August.
