Bridging the gap between rocket science and bikinis

By Ross · On February 9, 2016

Every year Parker and Edison of Varial foam technology make an annual trip to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii to meet with athletes, shapers and the media to help spread the word about Varial - allowing surfers the opportunity to test their boards, and shapers the opportunity to test out their blanks.

Varial is a new foam chemistry which focuses on improving the performance of the surfboard core. The Foam makes a board 25% lighter and 30% stronger than a PU blank.

The below video showcases advanced performances from Italo Ferreira, Mikey Bruneau, CJ Kanuha, Reef McIntosh and Seth Moniz all utilising the Varial Foam.

Edison Conner one half of the team behind the product said

“This bridges the gap between rocket science and bikinis by bringing leading edge technology and the ultimate lifestyle together in one beautiful sandy union.”

“It is like the difference from driving a slushy old Ford suspension to a tight and responsive Porsche.”
