UK raw sewage discharges illegal
SAS are today celebrating the decision of the European Courts of Justice ruling that Northumbrian Water and Thames Water are illegally discharging raw sewage via combined sewer overflows.

Environmental programme reaches out
Surfers Against Sewage’s innovative environmental education programme will be visiting the North East of England from the 21st to 26th May, with the support of the Quiksilver Foundation. The SAS education team will be visiting locations from Mablethorpe to Newcastle, visiting schools and colleges along the way.
Almost 200 beaches offer Sewage Alert Service
In only it’s 3rd year, SAS’s Sewage Alert Service will provide beach users with free real time information on raw sewage discharges available at almost 200 UK beaches from 15th May, the start of the bathing season.
