SAL film festival in Lisbon

After the first and very successful edition of SAL | Surf At Lisbon Film Fest 2012 at the prestigious São Jorge Cinema in the heart of beautiful Lisbon the annual Surf at Lisbon Surf Festival has officially started preparations for its second edition.


The Surf at Lisbon Film Festival, is a four days event hosted in the European capital of surf. With screenings of independent surf films from well known and young filmmakers it’s one of a kind event that
celebrates surf art, culture and lifestyle so popular in Portugal. Just as in 2012 both locals from Portugal as well as the international audience is expect at the event.

The SAL competition is open to feature-length and short surf film. Submissions are opened through May 15th, 2013. Our mission is to provide filmmakers the opportunity to present their work to a larger audience and an opportunity for the surf community to view quality surf movies on a big screen in one of the most beautiful
capital cities in Europe. SAL put Lisbon on a map as a surf friendly European capital just as surf culture becomes more and more popular all over the world.
