An email announcing a new range of Apple accessories from Proporta and Roxy/Quiksilver caught my eye today. Not for the goods themselves, but the peculiar wording of the press release which accompanied.

Mobile gadget accessories manufacturer, Proporta, has some fresh new Apple accessories styled by Australian born surf label, Quiksilver, and its sister label, Roxy. As a collection it incorporates bright colours and materials such as neoprene, which reflects the lifestyle led by surfing devotees everywhere.

I feel all empty inside now, driving to Devon with my clear plastic iPod cover.

I’ve got to say, I’m so happy we exist on the fringes of the surf counter-culture.
