A bunch of fine folk from Vancouver Island, an old school bus, well over 1000 miles and a mission to shape as many boards as possible.
This past autumn, a crew from Anián MFG packed a school bus with shaping tools and headed south to Santa Cruz. Their goal was to hand-shape 28 surfboards while searching for adventure and good waves.
This is the first part of three series about finding a way to blur the line between work and play.
Part two will mostly focus on shaping at the legendary Dog Haut surf shop’ shaping bay, in the heart of Santa Cruz and part three will be based on the short lived parking lot life we experienced. Surfing, skating and hanging around Surf City all while living in a school bus.
