A taste of Ben Howard
Although probably best known for his music, this Devon born singer songwriter is also a surfer and an active member of Surfers Against Sewage. Ben’s unique percussive guitar techniques and stand out vocals make him one to watch and that’s exactly what I was doing last month at Newcastle’s intimate venue The Other Rooms.

Surfing’s iconic Steamers Lane Crew is set to appear for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival screening of Directors Joshua Pomer The Westsiders. Over 5,000 films were submitted to this prestigious Festival and the historic story of the Santa Cruz Westside has been chosen to participate as a part of the actions sports “To The Maxx” program.

Clean water campaigners Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) reenacted the iconic Kitchener recruitment poster to enlist surfers, waveriders and coastal users into the Marine Management Organisation’s (MMO) new Marine Planning programme. SAS’s own surfing Kitchener represented SAS at the first Marine Planning workshop in Peterborough yesterday.
