The Canggu lineup was ripped again by the outstanding annual event ‘Deus 9ft & single’ presented by Swell.
The best surfers from various countries came to Bali to show their talents in stylish and high performance surfing.

The event included four days of entertaining: Fish Fry (testing Deus boards), Womp Comp (body surf), Longboard - men and ladies categories, Under 9ft (small boards). I was lucky to have the opportunity be in the water and take pictures of those legends surfing.
The Fish Fry, now in its fifth year, is a come one come all, ride anything funfest. It’s all about sharing ideas, sharing boards, sharing waves and sharing the stoke – the perfect way to kick of the four-day celebration of music, art and surfing.

Competitors - including Harrison Roach, Deni Blackboys, Husni Ridhwan, Lewie Dunn and many more – were getting their last-minute practice in and displaying the sublime talents that have earned them an invite to the comp.
The Deus Ladies’ Log Fest brought eight girls together from around the world for a self-elected one-hour expression session. The two-girl Hawaiian contingent of Honolua Blomfield and Sierra Lerback showed that it was no stranger to solid waves, both girls surfing with confidence and style. Long noserides down the line, late take-offs and Honolua even managed to immerse herself in a barrel or two – it was lady sliding at its finest.

What goes up must come down though, the Nine Foot Wrap Up Party is the big send-off, the fond farewell to the week that was.
But the Deus Nine Foot & Single wasn’t going to fade away - it was heading down in a blaze of glory.

With awards presentations, live music, friends, Harry Holiday’s art exhibition ‘Pulp Friction’, and much more, it was far more than just a bunch of mates and a few beers.
