The land they call Kernow. Something I’m documenting.
I photograph in the water. In the ocean currents. At her peril.
A family of surfers beyond the crisp white lines that are pushed to the beach. A nesting family stoked on the ocean’s energy.
I’m freelance, a wave hunter, drawn to the sea. I get edgy when I’m to far away or unable to get wet.
Kernow gives me the opportunity, and the sick surfers within it, to fill my frames.
The view from the beach of the surf is picturesque, yet once in the water, it’s unique.
Kernow holds when it wants to, a rich surfing community not understood from the land, only once at sea.
