With a recent parcel purchase, WiLDCOAST has successfully conserved over 20 miles of shoreline on the Valle de los Cirios Pacific Coast.

WiLDCOAST recently purchased a 364-acre property with nearly a mile of pristine shoreline on the Valle de los Cirios Pacific Coast in central Baja California as part of the ongoing effort to protect this delicate coastal corridor. The area contains one of the region’s most prominent headland which has been targeted in the past for development. With this recent purchase, WiLDCOAST has now protected 21,738 acres and 20.1 miles of coastline on the Valle de los Cirios Pacific Coast.

Since 2006, WiLDCOAST has been working to protect this region of Baja California through direct purchases and conservation easements while maintaining open public access to the coast and empowering local residents to become effective stewards of the environment. WiLDCOAST is the only binational nonprofit working on the ground with local and government agencies to protect these wildlands. But as vital as these efforts are, their coastal conservation work is only possible through your support. Donate here to help them continue this work.
