Shaping at St Agnes-based Laminations is done by Stevie Croft, who has been Chops Lascelle’s ghost shaper for the last six years. Steve, known around Aggie as Big Dusty Steve or 2Fins, is a creative and easy going guy with a genuine interest in design.

Mark Sankey: So where did the nickname 2Fins come from?
Steve Croft: When I first moved to Aggie, I lost one of my side fins whilst surfing at Chapel Porth; but the surf was perfect overhead barrels and I didn’t want to get out of the water. Because I lost the fin on my heel side and I was surfing rights, I could carry on surfing... hence ‘2Fins’.
