What a great preview. Sounds like "The Women and Waves" will be a must see film for anyone who has the passion for surfing in them, guys or girls. Your mention of Gerry Lopez tells me that you must have read his mission statement he wrote for SRF (Surf Realization Fellowship). I am a true believer in his philosophy behind what surfing does to ones soul, and how one can utilize these moments one feels while surfing, in everyday life. "Surf is Where You Find It." Aloha!

Sounds like you've finally shed some light on how it was to be the only girl in the lineup. For me I loved it! and loved to show them how good I was!! I always had a passion for beating the boys, don;t know why. But, I taught my daughter well and now she has shown me how to show boys how to surf better than I ever did!! Rip on ladies. Age:51 and the best surfer I ever saw was Rell Sunn Thank-you!
