1500 Images of the 2010 Big Wave Classic, part of the Big Wave World Tour shot by Larry Jansky. 2010 is the first year of paddle in only, and the competitors were greeted with 20 [plus] foot swells and some 50 [plus] foot faces.
The 8am start was delayed a few hours because the high tide shorebreak was so big it made it almost impossible to even get outside. By 10am everyone was in place and the conditions were next to perfect.
Most of the shots were taken from a bluff about 200 feet above the beach where the judges were sitting. Larry uses a Nikon 600mm lens and Nikon D90. Each picture is a 4MB file but compressed for this video. For the originals please contact Larry at [email protected]
