Drift has teamed up as media partner with the excellent Wheels and Fins Festival held every year on Joss Bay beach in Kent.
The Wheels and Fins Festival, is a free, three-day, music, action sports & music festival located in Broadstairs, Kent. The festival includes events such as; Soapbox Racing, Skateboard Mini Ramp comp (on the beach) run by Skate Pharmacy, UK BMX flatland champs, Surf & Stand up Paddleboard events, Trail Bike Display Teams, Mad Drop Air Bag, Slacklining, Live Music, Dj’s, Licensed Bars, Craft Beers, Food Court, Merchandise stalls and way more…
Over the summer the beach plays hosts to thousands of surfers and visitors soaking up the sun and the mellow vibes. The festival is only an hour and a half from London on the high-speed train making it a day trip for any eager beach thrill seeker. Not many festivals around the UK can boast that”.
The Wheels and Fins Festival, a relative newcomer on the Kent events calendar, is now entering it’s 5th year, and, thanks to the passion and dedication of a small management team, and an army of local volunteers, the festival continues to grow year upon year.
This year, Wheels and Fins 2016 is set to be better than ever. Wheels and Fins pulls together everything that’s great about the Kent coastal lifestyle: action sports, beautiful beaches, great food and exciting music.

Wheels and Fins 2016 is guaranteed to be combine everything which has made the festival a success in previous years, with innovative and creative ideas to provide attendees with a brand new experience.In 2015, the third annual Wheels and Fins festival ended on a high, with locally renowned musicians and DJ’s playing out the last few hours of the festival as the sun set on another awesome season on Joss Bay beach.
Festival organiser, and owner of the infamous Joss Bay Surf School, Dave Melmoth, pledged to return this year, with something even bigger and better to round off the season with an incredible Wheels and Fins 2016.
“Momentum is gathering, and anticipation is already bubbling away in expectation of this year’s festival – with internationally recognised artists on the bill and famous names from the worlds of surf, skate and BMX lined up to take part.” Dave said.
“There’s tonnes on offer for foodies, children, and those who just love a cold beer on the beach, not to mention opportunities to try something new. This committed team continues to grow, and with some characters on board for Wheels and Fins 2016, there are certainly some great things just around the corner at Joss Bay.” He added.
