The Crescent Head Malibu Classic grew out of an inter-club competition back in 1989 between three clubs; The Loggerheads, Mal de Mer and the Crescent Head Malibu Club.

Surrounded by national parks, nature reserves and the Pacific Ocean is the idyllic NSW Australian town of Crescent Head.  A five hour drive from Sydney, its point has long been famed for ‘lining up like corduroy since the 60s’ when surfers travelling through found its long glassy walls. Many believe this is the best spot for longboarders in the whole area.
