This year’s Cornwall Film Festival takes place on Friday 13 – Sunday 15 November at Falmouth’s lovely new Phoenix cinema.

This celebration of Cornish (and international) film-making has increased in popularity year on year, growing to such proportions that it now needs to be homed in a proper cinema! Falmouth’s spanking-new Phoenix Cinema is just the place, with its five screens including two traditional auditoriums, where the Festival will hold its main screenings.

In the run-up to the Festival proper, Another Country – the Festival’s international short film competition – will be touring a selection of outstanding short films made in rural communities around the world. Starting on 10 September, they’ll be visiting the likes of the Acorn Arts Centre in Penzance, Miss Peapod’s in Penryn, and The Melting Pot in Redruth. There’s a full line-up here.

I made this short slideshow for the festival last year…
